🌿 InnerNote is built on the belief that your inner life is your own. We collect only what we need to run the app and will never sell your personal data to anyone.
InnerNote ("we," "us," or "our") is a mobile journaling application. By using InnerNote, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app.
For questions, contact us at: privacy@innernote.app
We collect only the minimum information necessary to operate the service:
We do not collect your name, phone number, location, contacts, or any data from other apps on your device.
We use the information we collect to:
We do not use your journal entries to train AI models. We do not send marketing emails without your explicit opt-in.
InnerNote uses OpenAI's API to generate personalized journaling prompts. To do this, limited context from your recent entries (such as mood tags or themes) may be sent to OpenAI's API in order to generate a relevant prompt. This data is transmitted securely and is subject to OpenAI's privacy policy.
OpenAI does not use data submitted via the API to train its models by default. We do not send your full journal entries to OpenAI — only anonymized context signals.
We work with a small number of trusted third-party providers to operate InnerNote:
Each of these providers has their own privacy practices. We encourage you to review them. We do not share your data with any third parties for advertising purposes.
We retain your account data and journal entries for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance reasons (such as billing records, which are retained for up to 7 years).
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@innernote.app. We will respond within 30 days.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. Your journal entries are stored in encrypted form. Account access is protected by authentication managed through Supabase.
No system is completely secure. While we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security and encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.
InnerNote is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of InnerNote after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
